Waubonsee Recognizes Mathematics Department as Student Success: Featured Faculty and Program

Mathematics is a requirement for most college majors. The faculty of the Mathematics Department at Waubonsee Community College are making great strides in enhancing the student experience in these important core classes. For these efforts, the department is being recognized as a college Student Success: Featured Faculty and Program in November. 

Waubonsee Community College to Host Music Concerts

Waubonsee Community College will host five music concerts in December. Each concert will feature a different aspect of the college’s music program.

Waubonsee Hosts Health Care Education Information Open House

On Nov. 3, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) released its report on labor statistics for the month of October 2017. The report shows that health care jobs are in great demand. Jobs in health care increased by 22,000 in October with the average increase for this year being 24,000 jobs per month. The next day, these strong employment numbers were matched by a strong interest in health care careers at an open house at Waubonsee’s Aurora Fox Valley Campus.

Waubonsee Community College will host two events in conjunction with Veterans Day this year. Both are free and open to the public.

Waubonsee Cross Country Runners Advance to Nationals

The Waubonsee Chiefs cross country teams will be well represented at this year’s National Junior College Athletic Association National Championships following some impressive performances on Saturday at the Region IV Championships hosted by Sauk Valley Community College.

Chiefs win Region title in shootout, qualify for National Tournament

Waubonsee Community College’s men’s soccer team earned the program’s first ever trip to the NJCAA Division I National Tournament on Saturday afternoon. The Chiefs captured their second straight Region IV Championship with a nail-biting victory over Moraine Valley Community College in a shootout 5-4.
