Focus on your area of interest

Our Associate in Arts (AA) and Associate in Science (AS) degrees aren't awarded in a specific major. Instead, they cover a range of subjects to give you a well-rounded education foundation. But you can choose courses that follow a path that's of particular interest to you with our areas of concentration.

Our Academic and Career Advisors can help identify the best courses that will support your education and career goals, and lead you to the associate degree program that's right for you.

Transfer Ready Pathways

A Transfer Ready AA or AS is an associate’s degree that prepares students to transfer to 4-year institutions to complete a bachelor’s degree in a variety of majors. Students enroll in general education and major specific electives.

Transfer Guides

Transfer guides are intended to help you plan your four-year degree based on your chosen four-year school and career goals. Requirements are subject to change, so be sure to work closely with a Waubonsee counselor or advisor throughout your time at Waubonsee to make sure your information is current.

We've mapped out a few examples of AA and AS degrees with areas of concentration to give you an idea of what the coursework might include. These are only examples—you'll work with our dedicated advisors to put together the program that's right for you and your goals.

*For specific course requirements or recommendations in this area of concentration, consult with an Academic and Career Advisor.

Don't See Your Future Major?
No problem. AA and AS degrees are general and designed to prepare you for a bachelor's degree in any field. Work with an Academic and Career Advisor to choose the courses that will help you meet your goals.
