Waubonsee Offers Free Tax Preparation Services in Partnership with Ladder Up
Waubonsee Community College, in partnership with Ladder Up, will provide free tax preparation services at the college’s Aurora Downtown Campus, located at 18 S. River Street. These services are available to the community on Saturdays, Jan. 25 through April 12, from 9 a.m. to noon on a walk-in basis only, and the site will close when capacity is reached.

Two Waubonsee Students Secure Second Place in Global Sustainability Competition
Two Waubonsee Community College students, Briana Harris and Kevin Bustamante Fontanel, of Yorkville, achieved a second-place finish at the University of Illinois’ fourth annual “Reimagine Our Future” sustainability competition. The virtual event took place on December 7, 2024. It featured 250 undergraduate students from colleges and universities worldwide. Harris and Bustamante Fontanel stood out as the only community college students competing on an international stage.
Waubonsee Hosts Free Music Concerts in December
Waubonsee Community College will host several musical concerts in December. The concerts will feature traditional holiday music and a variety of different musical styles and performing groups. Admission is free and all ages are welcome.
