Waubonsee Hosts Health Care Education Information Open House
On Nov. 3, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) released its report on labor statistics for the month of October 2017. The report shows that health care jobs are in great demand. Jobs in health care increased by 22,000 in October with the average increase for this year being 24,000 jobs per month. The next day, these strong employment numbers were matched by a strong interest in health care careers at an open house at Waubonsee’s Aurora Fox Valley Campus.

Waubonsee Community College will host an open house event on Saturday, Nov. 4 from 1-4 p.m. at the Aurora Fox Valley Campus, 2060 Ogden Ave (Route 34 on the Rush-Copley Campus). The open house is an opportunity for people interested in working in the health care industry to learn more about the education programs available at Waubonsee.
Waubonsee Hosts Open House at Sugar Grove
Waubonsee Community College hosted an open house at its Sugar Grove Campus on October 21. The purpose was to provide an opportunity for people to come to the campus and learn more about the college’s many transfer programs and opportunities.
Waubonsee Announces 2017-2018 Student Government Members
Waubonsee Community College Student Government elections were held on Sept. 18-21 for the current academic year.
Waubonsee Community College Enrolls 300,000th Student
Waubonsee Community College has enrolled its 300,000th student in its 51st year serving the district. Hannah Polhill, from Yorkville, is a freshman and a Gustafson Scholar majoring in business at Waubonsee.
Waubonsee Community College Recognizes Featured Alumnus
Service is everything to Keith Cross; he has spent almost all of his adult life serving the city he grew up in. Over the years, Cross has seen much change in Aurora and across the region, and as a long-time police officer in the city, he has been part of and led much of that change. For his many contributions to the community as a law enforcement officer and as a community leader, Waubonsee Community College is proud to honor him as a Student Success: Featured Alumnus.
