Waubonsee Community College hosted an open house at its Sugar Grove Campus on October 21. The purpose was to provide an opportunity for people to come to the campus and learn more about the college’s many transfer programs and opportunities.

Waubonsee faculty members, administrators, staff members and current students were available to answer questions about the academic programs, student life, financial aid and scholarships, as well as student activities.

Waubonsee has transfer programs in more than 30 areas of concentration. There is also the option to tailor a program to meet individual educational goals.

Waubonsee will host another open house at its Aurora Fox Valley Campus on November 4. That event will feature the college’s many health care programs. Visit waubonsee.edu/openhouse for more information and to RSVP.

People interested in Waubonsee’s transfer programs were able to learn more about them at the college’s open house. Representatives from across the college were on hand to answer questions from students and their families.

The open house gave guests the opportunity to walk around the beautiful Sugar Grove Campus and get information at various places, both indoors and outdoors.

The open house was an opportunity for families to come and learn more about Waubonsee and its programs in a relaxed and comfortable setting.

Several classrooms were open with faculty members in them to allow interested people to see the facilities and meet the instructors. This direct interaction made the open house a valuable experience for those who attended.

To add to the experience of the open house, musical groups from the college performed in the Student Center throughout the afternoon giving guests the opportunity to both learn about the music programs, but relax, as well.

Of course, there were food trucks that provided free food to everyone who came to the open house.
