Before taking a CLEP® exam, you must visit the CLEP® website to create an account and purchase the exam. Registering for the CLEP® exam provides you with a payment receipt and a registration ticket. CLEP® currently charges $95 per exam.
After you have bought your exam and received a registration ticket, schedule an appointment with Learning Assessment and Testing Services Center at the Sugar Grove Campus. You may schedule an appointment online or call (630) 466-5700. You will be asked for your registration ticket number when you make your appointment.
Test takers for CLEP® are required to present one valid form of identification or a completed CLEP student ID form. Test takers also will need their printed registration ticket. A non-refundable fee of $25 will be charged by Waubonsee for each exam appointment.
No more than two CLEP® tests may be taken in one day. The maximum allowable number of credits earned by all prior learning assessments, including CLEP®, is 45 credit hours.

If you are attending Waubonsee Community College, contact Registration and Records at (630) 466-2370 two to three weeks after testing and verify your scores have been received. You will then have to visit the office to complete an Application for Credit by CLEP® form. A recording fee of $10 per transaction is charged.
Scores will be sent to the additional colleges you selected when registering for your CLEP® exam. You must follow up CLEP® and/or with your any additional college's registration department to make sure credit is recorded.
