The President’s List at Waubonsee Community College celebrates excellence among students who achieve a 4.0 grade-point average out of a possible 4.0 while enrolled in at least six semester credit hours. The President’s List honors the following students for the summer 2024 semester at the college:

Waubonsee Community College Dean for Academic Support Jessica Moreno has been selected as one of 45 faculty and staff from across the nation to join the sixth cohort of the Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (H.A.C.U.) Leadership Academy, La Academia de Liderazgo. This prestigious program aims to cultivate the next generation of diverse leaders at Hispanic-Serving Institutions (HSIs).

Waubonsee’s Art Department Receives National Association of Schools of Art and Design Accreditation
Waubonsee Community College’s Art Department has recently received accreditation by the National Association of Schools of Art and Design (NASAD), making it one of only two community colleges in Illinois to achieve this prestigious recognition. NASAD, recognized by the U.S. Department of Education, sets rigorous standards for excellence in art and design education nationwide.

Waubonsee Community College will host College Night on Monday, Oct. 7 from 6 to 8 p.m. on its Sugar Grove Campus, Route 47 at Waubonsee Drive, in the Academic and Professional Center. This event is open to the public.

Waubonsee’s Aurora Fox Valley “Health Care” Campus Receives National College Testing Association Recertification
Waubonsee Community College’s Aurora Fox Valley Campus, also known as the “Health Care Campus,” has recently met all requirements for recertification by the National College Testing Association (NCTA). This successful recertification extends the NCTA certification at the Aurora Fox Valley Campus through 2029.
Waubonsee to Host State of the College on Sept. 24
Waubonsee Community College will host its second annual State of the College event on Tuesday, Sept. 24 in the Academic and Professional Center on its Sugar Grove Campus, Route 47 at Waubonsee Drive. Breakfast and networking will start at 7:30 a.m., with the program beginning at 8 a.m. All are welcome to this free event.
