Waubonsee is an Educational Affiliate of IRIS, the Incorporated Research Institutions for Seismology. Part of being an Educational Affiliate is to promote seismology and earthquake science. The AS-1 seismograph, pictured here, is on display near the north entrance to the Science Building. It has been recording earthquakes worldwide since July 2005.

Real-time seismic data from our AS-1 seismograph is refreshed every 10 minutes and available to the public online.

Weather Data

Check back soon for real-time data from Waubonsee's own weather station located on the roof of the Science Building. In the meantime, get hourly condition reports from nearby Aurora Municipal Airport.
