Participants of all ages walk and run in Waubonsee’s 2023 5K/10K.
The Waubonsee Community College Foundation will host its fourth annual Walk, Run and WIN with Waubonsee 5K/10K on Saturday, June 1, 2024, at 9:00 a.m. on the Sugar Grove Campus. Proceeds from the event benefit the Waubonsee Foundation Scholarship Program. Each year, the Foundation raises funds to provide student scholarships. The Foundation provided 364 scholarship awards totaling almost $363,000 for the 2023-2024 academic year.
All are welcome to attend this family-friendly event, which has something for everyone. Registration fees for the 5K are $35; registration fees for the 10K are $45, with discounts for Waubonsee students, alumni, and children 12 and under. Race participants will receive an event t-shirt, food truck voucher and sponsor giveaways. Featured food trucks will have treats available for purchase by cash, card, or race participant vouchers. The free touch-a-truck experience will offer a closer look at specialized vehicles and public safety equipment.
