Telephone Issue at Sugar Grove Campus
Waubonsee is experiencing an issue with the telephone service at the Sugar Grove Campus. Callers cannot direct dial to offices or people at Sugar Grove. Calls can be made by dialing 630-466-7900 then dialing the extension. This only affects calls to the Sugar Grove Campus. Extensions at other campuses can be dialed directly.
The college's IT department is working on the issue and will have it resolved as soon as possible. We appreciate your patience.

Waubonsee Welcomes New Faculty Members
Waubonsee Community College welcomes three new full-time faculty members for the coming academic year.
The Start of the Academic Year
I was drawn to a career in higher education because of the power of education to change lives. I was drawn to a career in community colleges because nowhere else within higher education is this transformative power so evident. In the coming weeks, thousands of students will arrive on one of Waubonsee’s four campuses to begin or continue their academic journey. Many of them are first-generation students and many are part of a long family line of college students. Many will attend class full-time, others part-time.
Each one of these students has a unique story that we can all learn from and be inspired by.
The Importance of Preparedness
There is an emergency, a fire, someone has passed out, a car crash, what do you do? The answer for most is to call 9-1-1. We know with that call we can get the help we need: the fire department, an ambulance, a police officer. As first responders, you call, we come, regardless of the emergency or the situation. Without question we show up. What many don’t realize is that we spend a large portion of our time talking to the public about prevention and preparedness. As we educate our Fire Science and Emergency Medical Technician students at Waubonsee Community College, we stress the driving purpose of this profession is to keep our citizens safe.
