This course provides an overview of the major fields of philosophy including metaphysics, epistemology, logic and ethics. Fundamental questions may include: What is the meaning of life? Does God exist? Are we free? What can we know? What makes a good argument? How should we live?

ENG101.005 (CRN 20301) and PHL100.003 (CRN 20463) are combined as a six-credit block to create an exciting and new learning experience for students. Students will receive credit in two general education requirement courses. Both courses will be taught by two instructors at the same time to foster dialogue, debate, and discussion. Both classes will be a part of a community where learners can engage one another in meaningful and memorable ways! THEME: "The Write Path Through the Multiverse: Alternatives to Alter Thinking": This course will focus on the intersection of English and Philosophy with the theme being “alternative.” This includes alternative thinking and alternative worlds (within the multiverse).
