In this performance ensemble of 20th century percussion music and world drumming, individual percussion instruments and techniques are discussed. Traditional and contemporary percussion notation are taught to enable the student to perform assigned parts. Mallet instruments (marimba, vibes, etc.) as well as pitched and nonpitched percussion instruments are used.
