This course continues the addictions counseling seminar and field experience. Students spend an additional 250 hours developing skills in on-the-job training, and they attend a weekly seminar for group supervision. Classroom emphasis is on the provision of clinical supervision relative to the practice setting, developing individualized patient treatment plans, providing group and individual counseling services that correspond with the patient treatment plan, and adhering to state licensing standard in the performance of their duties as an intern. A blend of face-to-face class meetings in a traditional classroom and asynchronously online. Required face-to-face class meetings are: Mondays from 6:00 - 7:40 p.m. Scheduled on campus days: 02/03, 02/17, 03/03, 03/24, 04/07, 04/21, 05/05. This course uses Open Educational Resources (OER) instead of traditional textbooks, so there is no cost for course materials.
