This course discusses the relational database model and capabilities of standard Database Management System (DBMS) packages. Students are guided through database design using normalization and data modeling using the entity-relationship model and creating database tables. The course also covers creation, management, and data modeling in noSQL databases. Prerequisite: CIS115
