This general survey course focuses on the biology of the human organism. Concepts include the structure, organization, and function of human systems at various scales from molecular to superoganismal health and disease, growth and development, cell biology,genetics and heredity, evolution, and ecology. Emphasis is placed on the relationship of the issues to the individual and society and the development of science process skills.

Note: Not intended for students majoring in biology or the health professions.
