This course is a survey of the visual arts designed to encourage visual literacy and develop analytical skills of the non-art major. Students are introduced to the vocabulary and media of art and will examine the historical, social, and technological factors that contribute to understanding the meaning of works of art. Course

note: Participation in this course may include independent visits to galleries and/or museums which may require admission fees.
