David Voorhees, Associate Professor of Earth Science/Geology at Waubonsee Community College, has offered guidance and helpful tips on improving classroom instruction to fellow geology instructors in an article he published in Foundations, the monthly newsletter of the Geo2YC Division of the National Association of Geoscience Teachers.
In the article, titled “Seismology Is More Than Drawing Circles,” Voorhees discusses various informational resources on which he has come to rely to help other instructors “bring the true work of seismologists into your classroom and lab.”
The article was published in the December 2013 edition of the newsletter.
It is in PDF form on the website of the NAGT, www.nagt.org.
