Poets, aspiring poets and poetry enthusiasts alike are welcome to read selections of their own work or favorite works of others during Waubonsee Community College’s third annual Poetry Out Loud event Thursday, April 16.
Scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. at the Todd Library in Collins Hall on Waubonsee’s Sugar Grove Campus, Route 47 at Waubonsee Drive, the event is being held to celebrate National Poetry Month. It is free and open to the public.
No advanced registration is required, as the event will feature a “very casual, open mic” structure, said Poetry Out Loud organizer and Waubonsee Librarian Kathy Bartel.
