As 2017 comes to a close and resolutions come to mind, I am reminded of lines from T.S. Elliot’s poem, “Little Gidding:”
For last year’s words belong to last year’s language
And next year’s words await another voice.

What we call the beginning is often the end
And to make an end is to make a beginning. (119-120, 214-215)
As we approach both an end and a beginning, I thank every student, faculty, staff and community member for contributing their words and voices to make 2017 an
incredible year. At the same time, I am excited about the words and voices that will emerge to convey the actions and stories of 2018.
I wish everyone in the Waubonsee family and community the very best this holiday season.
