In time for spring and summer weddings, Waubonsee Community College is offering the opportunity for people to become a certified wedding and event planner.

Planning weddings and events requires business, networking and client relationship management skills. In partnership with the Lovegevity Wedding Planning Institute, “Becoming a Certified Wedding and Event Planner” covers the fundamentals of planning, coordinating and executing social events, as well as owning and operating a successful wedding and event planning business. All the classes are taught by experienced professionals in the event planning industry.

Classes will meet on Thursday evenings from Feb. 1 through May 3 on the Sugar Grove Campus, Route 47 at Waubonsee Drive. The course fee includes all materials, as well as an online resource center, certificate exam fee and certification designation. A payment plan is available for the course fee.
