Emphasizing the "community" in community college
"Community" is part of our name for a reason: it's also part of our mission. Every day we do our best to enrich your life through more than education, offering experiences and events for every interest, age and stage of life. Associate degrees are only the beginning at Waubonsee!
Professional Development
Focused on success at work? Our professional development courses are short and focused. You'll strengthen existing skills or develop new ones that will keep your career star on the rise.
Résumé and Career Help
Find a new job or explore a different career path with free events and services in our Career Development Center, including résumé preparation and interview skills.
Learning is a Lifelong Process
We proudly support the Lifelong Learning Institute, an open membership organization for adults age 50 and older who are actively engaged in the pursuit of knowledge. In our stimulating peer-learning environments, members plan, lead and participate in courses, course-related trips and social events. LLI members are encouraged to volunteer in some capacity in support of the organization. It's easy to join and only $25 per year.
Access to campus facilities
You're always welcome on campus! Our four libraries, including Sugar Grove's Todd Library, are open and free for community use. And if you need to take a professional or academic exam, look to Learning Assessment and Testing Services' professional proctors.
Art and Cultural Exhibits
Our year-round art exhibitions feature work by students and other artists. Concerts, plays and speakers are among the special events hosted in our Auditorium.
