In order to meet U.S. Department of Education standards for the financial aid eligibility, courses must be at least at the high school level academically and be included as part of the curriculum for an associate degree or certificate of achievement. Certificates must be at least 16 credit hours and prepare the student for gainful employment to qualify for financial aid. Noncredit courses and programs are also not eligible for financial aid.

Students must enroll in at least 6 financial aid eligible credit hours to receive a loan.

Certificates
Most of the following certificates are under 16 credit hours or do not prepare the student for gainful employment so do NOT qualify for financial aid. Please note that while less than 16 credit certificates do not qualify, there may be a related certificate of greater length within the same discipline that does qualify for aid.
