Studying Emergency Medical Technology at Waubonsee
Waubonsee's nationally accredited EMT programs encourages students to develop a superior level of emergency medical care through a curriculum led by a highly-trained team of instructors who are professionals in the field of emergency medicine. Didactic lectures, hands-on labs, and emergency room clinical observations provide students with simulated and real-word experience of the roles EMTs play as critical members of the healthcare community.

Working in Emergency Medical Technology
People's lives depend on the quick reaction and expertise of emergency medical technicians. EMTs treat victims of auto accidents, heart attacks, drownings, gunshots, childbirth and more at the scene of the incident. Following strict guidelines, EMTs give appropriate emergency care and then transport the sick or injured to a medical facility. Specific responsibilities vary based on qualification and training, but consistently make a difference in people's lives.
