Waubonsee President Dr. Brian Knetl stands with newly re-elected Board members Rick Guzman, Tina Willson, and Daniel Jaquez, along with The Honorable Robert P. Pilmer, Circuit Judge for the 23rd Judicial Court.

The Waubonsee Community College Board of Trustees seated newly re-elected trustees, following the final results of the consolidated election held on April 1, 2025, and elected its officers at their Seating and Reorganization meetings on Thursday, April 24.

Board members Tina Willson, of Montgomery, and Daniel Jaquez, of Yorkville, were elected for full six-year terms, and Rick Guzman, of Aurora, was elected for a four-year term. Willson and Guzman, who have served on Waubonsee’s Board since 2019, will continue their service through 2031 and 2029, respectively. Jaquez was originally appointed in 2024 and will serve through 2031.

The three re-elected trustees were seated at the meeting. An Oath of Office was administered to each of them by The Honorable Robert P. Pilmer, Circuit Judge for the 23rd Judicial Court.

The board unanimously elected its officers for the 2025-2027 term as follows: Rebecca D. Oliver, Chair; Patrick Kelsey, Vice Chair; and Greg Thomas, Secretary.
