Education Students Classroom Instuctor Kathleen Randall
I am most proud of students who are now giving back as teachers. It brings tears to my eyes to see how I helped someone decide that this was their calling.

Q&A with Kathleen Randall

How did you become interested in Education?

Both my parents are teachers, and I didn’t think I wanted to do that, but then I took my first Introduction to Education class at a community college and loved it.

Why should someone consider Education?
Teachers are influencing others and changing livers. Teaching is a calling and a profession combined.
How would you describe your teaching style and what can students expect in class with you?
I am open and honest with my students, and give them the facts about a teaching career so they can decide if this field is for them.
What should students know about studying Education at Waubonsee?

I recommend starting at a community college. It is less expensive, and it will lower your debt. Your classes will be transferable to a university where you complete the teaching degree. All of Waubonsee's Education classes transfer.

What do you like to do outside of work?

I am an animal lover. I love to ride horses and train dogs and help animals find homes. I live on 15 acres so I have room to do that.
