Two students

With Waubonsee Community College’s fall semester starting on Aug. 19, the college is still accepting registrations.

Those interested in enrolling can visit waubonsee.edu/semester to view course options and get information on next steps.

At registration, students can choose when, where, and how to take classes – earning college credit the best way for them and their families. Students can even transfer credit from another college into Waubonsee to meet their goals more quickly.

Waubonsee Community College offers affordable, quality education and flexible pathways for residents living in the college's District 516, including areas of Kane, Kendall, DeKalb, LaSalle, and Will counties. With four convenient campus locations, including Sugar Grove, Aurora Downtown, Aurora Fox Valley, and Plano, plus online, there's an option for every stage. Recent high school graduates and adult learners alike can study more than 60 subject areas and prepare to transfer on to earn a four-year degree. Career seekers can become qualified for a high-demand, higher-paying job in just one semester.

At less than $440 per standard 3-credit course, Waubonsee’s tuition and fee rate is very low relative to other schools. Plus, there is available financial aid, payment plan options, and course material programs to further lower costs. For example, when students enroll in particular courses through Waubonsee’s MyMaterials program, they receive the lowest cost and/or free textbooks and course materials through open license and publicly available materials for education.

Non-native English speakers and individuals aspiring to earn their formal high school education can benefit from Waubonsee's Adult Education Programs, offering free English language acquisition, math, vocabulary, reading comprehension, and writing instruction to help adults prepare to earn the State of Illinois High School Diploma. Classes are offered online and at the Aurora Downtown and Plano Campuses. Additionally, instruction is available in both English and Spanish. Visit waubonsee.edu/adulted for more information.

Most fall semester credit courses begin on Aug. 19, but students can also start on Sept. 16 or Oct. 14. Visit waubonsee.edu/semester for more details.
