Using legal research methods, students will locate mandatory primary sources in order to write a legal memorandum that focuses on a local legal issue. Students will learn to identify the elements of a law to support facts acquired from client interviews and match facts to relevant case law. Recommended Coreq, PLG100 and ENG101 or ENG152

"A blend of face-to-face class meetings in a traditional classroom and asynchronously online. Required face-to-face class meetings are: Wednesdays 6:30 p.m. - 9:15 p.m. Scheduled on campus days: 08/28, 09/11, 09/25, 10/09, 10/23, 11/06, 11/20, 12/04. Students can register for both courses that are scheduled at the same day and time as they meet face-to-face on opposite weeks. This course is utilizing Open Educational Resources (OER). No textbook purchase is required and there will be no cost for course materials."
