Waubonsee Community College welcomes Dr. Mary Beth Hutches, of North Aurora, to the position of Director of Nursing.
“Waubonsee’s Nursing Program is the best in the area and I am happy to be a part of it again,” said Hutches.
A former Waubonsee employee, Dr. Hutches brings 10 years of management and hospital administration experience, in addition to six years of higher education experience, into her new position. She previously served as an Associate Professor of Nursing and the Associate Nursing Degree Program Director at Waubonsee.
Prior to Waubonsee, Dr. Hutches was employed at Aurora University as an Assistant Professor of Nursing, the Department Chair of the Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program, and the Director of Nursing Services at Orbis Education, an affiliate of Loyola University.
Dr. Hutches has also held instructor roles at Morton College, Rasmussen University, and South University Online.
Dr. Hutches holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice from Rush University, a Master of Science in Nursing from St. Xavier University, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Northern Illinois University, and a Nursing Diploma from Blessing-Rieman College of Nursing & Health Sciences.
