“Having somebody else to hold us accountable has been so helpful,” Soad said. “And going to school together as young adults opens a new way to foster a sibling relationship. It opens different ways to communicate with each other, instead of just home-based things, you’re in it together.”

Thinking of my grandmother’s story, and her expectations she gained at Waubonsee of what she could do, were impacted with me, which led me to go out and achieve things and ultimately, coming back here to be employed,” he said. “It is really kind of cool how it all works in the continuum.
What helped me reach this point in my career was the constant encouragement, the constant feedback and the direction that I received from my teachers at Waubonsee.

Waubonsee was really good at introducing you to different classes so you know what you like and don't like. Overall, it shapes you as a person.
At first glance opponents may have overlooked the 5’4” Maxzine Rossler. But once the games began, all eyes were focused on the fleet-footed scoring dynamo. Rossler quickly established herself as the all-time leading scorer in Waubonsee women’s soccer history and also made her presence known on the basketball court as well.

When I joined Waubonsee, I was scared. At the time, I was so set on going into the military, but luckily, I have great instructors and best friends to lean on here.
Borvan says she has particularly enjoyed the challenge of finishing her degree in a year and believes Waubonsee was the best decision she could have made.
