Volunteers with Waubonsee Community College’s Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program will offer free tax help in Aurora this tax season.

The sessions will take place through April 13 on Wednesdays from 5:30 – 8 p.m. and on Saturdays from 9 a.m. – noon at Waubonsee’s Aurora Downtown Campus at 18 S. River Street.

At these sessions, volunteers will help prepare and electronically file income tax returns, including those requiring the 1040 Schedule C used by small business owners and people who are self-employed.

Waubonsee’s VITA Program is part of a network of 28 locations that provides tax assistance. The effort is led by Ladder Up.
