Wednesday, March 20 is National Small Business Development Center (SBDC) Day. While that day is significant, the SBDC at Waubonsee Community College celebrates small businesses and their owners every day by providing resources they need to be successful.

On Tuesday, March 26 at 6:30 p.m. Harriet Parker, the SBDC Manager at Waubonsee, will give a presentation on business organization types at the Oswego Library Downtown Campus. On Thursday, March 28, representatives from the SBDC will be at the Sycamore High School as part of the DeKalb and Sycamore Chambers of Commerce Community Expo to provide information on services the SBDC offers.

On Tuesday, April 9 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. the SBDC will host a workshop for military veterans interested in starting a small business. This workshop will be held at Waubonsee’s Aurora Downtown Campus in Room 257.

These events are all free and open to the public. Visit www.waubonsee.edu/sbdc for more information about these events and other services that the SBDC offers.
