Waubonsee Community College will host a history discussion to mark the state’s bicentennial.

“Bringing Our State Together: 200 Years of Canals, Railroads, Postal Services and Roads” is a broad survey of the development of Illinois’ connections since 1818. Dr. Norman Moline will explore the state’s network of paths, routes and services that connect the people of Illinois to each other and to other parts of the country.

The event will be held on Thursday, November 1, at 7 p.m. in the Auditorium on the Sugar Grove Campus. The event is free and open to the public.
