Waubonsee Community College is offering a day trip to Waterloo, Wis. to explore practical applications of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) studies.
The trip is on Monday Oct. 8 and starts with a visit to the Trek bicycle factory to see how carbon fiber is made into finished bikes. After lunch, the tour visits Cardiac Science, a manufacturer of Automated External Defibrillators, to learn the background and history of cardiac science.
People of all ages and interests will enjoy this trip and learning about how STEM helps everyday life for all of us.
