Waubonsee Community College will offer more than 40 different summer camp opportunities this year for kids ages 4-14.

There are eight week-long Xcelerate camps scheduled beginning June 4 and running through the first week of August. Each camp focuses on one of eight specific topics: art, music, computers and robotics, photography, language and reading, science, math, and theatre.

New for this year’s camps is early and extended care. Parents who need options with drop-off and pick-up times can choose from several supervised sessions to find the flexibility needed.

For motivated students ages 12-14, there is a unique Health Careers Camp that allows kids to experience first-hand many career options in health care. These sessions are taught by experienced health care professionals from Waubonsee. There is also a Safe Sitter® Essentials camp with CPR for students ages 11-14.
