Adam Schauer
Waubonsee Community College welcomes Mr. Adam Schauer to the position of Dean for Adult Education.
Schauer has served as the Program Manager for Advancing Careers and Employment at Safer Foundation. Additionally, Schauer has more than 10 years’ experience serving in the positions of Associate Dean of Adult Education at Wilbur Wright College, Director of Dual Degree and Transfer Outreach at Governors State University, Adult Education Student Success Strategist at Triton College and Admissions Specialist at College of DuPage. Schauer has more than three years of experience teaching in adult education and at the high school level.
Schauer holds a Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership from Lewis University, with a concentration in Higher Education Student Services. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Eastern Illinois University.
The college’s board of trustees approved Schauer’s appointment at their regularly scheduled meeting on Oct. 17. He assumed the duties of the position on Oct. 24.
