Waubonsee Community College welcomes Mr. Jeffrey Gregor to the position of Dean for Health Professions and Public Service.
Gregor has seven years’ experience in higher education, which includes serving as the Dean for Health Professions at Lane Community College; the Dean for Healthcare, Career, Technical Education and Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Program Director at Texas Southmost College; and the Senior Program Manager at The University of New Mexico. Gregor also served as the EMS Supervisor for Comprehensive Health Services and has worked as a full-time Paramedic for many years and continues to work on a part-time basis as a Paramedic to keep his field skills up to date. Gregor also served for more than 20 years in the United States Air Force and held a variety of roles including Assistant Program Director for Emergency Medical Technician Basic and Paramedic Training, Instructor Supervisor, Clinical Coordinator, and Independent Duty Medical Technician.
Gregor holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix, a Bachelor of Science in EMS Management with an Education concentration from the University of New Mexico. Gregor also holds an Associate in Applied Science from the Community College of the Air Force in Human Resources Management, Instructor of Technology and Military Science, and Allied Health Sciences.
The position of Dean for Health Professions and Public Service is responsible for the administration of the college’s programs in health care, such as nursing, health information technology, and others, as well as the college’s programs in public safety and service, such as criminal justice, fire science, and others. Gregor assumed the duties of the position on November 1.
