Derek Schreiner
Waubonsee Community College welcomes Mr. Derek Schreiner to the position of Assistant Dean for Business and Career Technologies (CTE).
Schreiner has been employed at Southeastern Community College in West Burlington, Iowa since 2010. He has served as an Associate Professor of Electronics Technology and as the CTE Department Chair for the past four years. While at Southeastern, Schreiner served as the departmental assessment coordinator, developed the institutional class schedule, played a vital role in the strategic plan to maintain institutional accreditation and managed two advisory councils. Before working at Southeastern, Schreiner was a quality assurance technician and assistant manager in the telecommunications industry for more than 10 years.
Schreiner holds a Master of Business Administration from St. Ambrose University, a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Iowa Wesleyan College, an Associate of Science degree and three Associate in Applied Science degrees from Southeastern Community College in Biomedical Technology, Computer Hardware Networking and Electronics Technology.
Schreiner assumed the duties of the position on May 20.
