Students from several Waubonsee Community College Career and Technical Education (CTE) Programs recently earned recognition at the annual Illinois SkillsUSA State Leadership and Skills Conference.
The recognized students are:
- Jake Linden; Firefighting; 1st Place. Linden will compete in the SkillsUSA National Leadership and Skills Conference in Louisville, Kentucky in June.
- Rodolfo Maldonado; Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration; 3rd Place
- Jose Martinez; Collision Repair Technology; 3rd Place
- Kaitlynn Troyer; Automotive Refinishing Technology; 3rd Place
The event was held in Springfield, Illinois from April 12 – 14. SkillsUSA is a state and national membership association serving middle school, high school and college students who are preparing for careers in trade, technical and skilled service occupations.
