Sugar Grove – The artwork of five Waubonsee students have been selected for inclusion in the 2021 Virtual Illinois Skyway Collegiate Conference Juried Art Show hosted by the College of Lake County. Nearly 200 pieces were submitted from eight area community colleges.

  • Tanvi Aggarwal’s "White Soda Fired Pot/Vase” and “Tenmoku Jars Wood Fired"
  • Garrett Austin’s "End of Harvest"
  • Dan Capobianco’s "A Tight Fit,” “A Tight Fit Too” and “Valves"
  • Abigail King’s "Black and White Scribble Study"
  • Becca Overton’s "Looking Glass"

Dan Capobianco’s "Valves" was selected as the Best in Show award. Tanvi Aggarwal’s "White Soda Fired Pot/Vase" was selected for an Award of Excellence. Skyway provides an opportunity for emerging student artists to display their work and acknowledges their expertise at the highest level. The Skyway Juried Art show can be viewed on the CLC website.
