Waubonsee Community College recently selected Dr. Sara Gregory and Heather Engelhart as its Outstanding Adjunct Faculty Members for 2022.
Dr. Sara Gregory is a humanities and music instructor in the college’s Liberal Arts and Sciences Division and is recognized for her dedication to student success, as well as her ability to create awareness of multiple professional development opportunities for her faculty colleagues. Gregory also serves as a member of the Outcomes Advisory Council.
Heather Engelhart is an instructor in the college’s Adult Education Division and is recognized for her role in supporting her students’ success while incorporating instructional technology in the classroom. In addition to her time in the classroom, Ms. Engelhart also spent time serving on the Adult Education High School Equivalency (HSE) Language Arts curriculum development team and currently serves on the college’s Mission Statement Review Committee.
Adjunct faculty members are nominated for this recognition by their division leadership and peers for their demonstration of quality instruction, commitment to student success, and contributions to the credit and noncredit divisions. Gregory and Engelhart were officially recognized during Waubonsee’s Faculty Development Days on January 12.
