Waubonsee Community College will hold auditions for “Shrek the Musical.”
Auditions will be held in the Auditorium on the Sugar Grove Campus on Thursday, August 2 from 7 to 9 p.m.; Saturday, August 4 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Sunday, August 5 from 2 to 5 p.m. Callbacks (if needed) will be on Monday, August 6 from 7 to 9 p.m.
Auditioners will be asked to sing 16-32 bars of a song and will do cold readings from the script. Please bring music for the accompanist on paper (not on a phone or digital tablet). Auditioners are welcome to bring accompaniment on a digital device with Bluetooth capability to sing along with, if they prefer. There will be no a cappella singing. There may also be a dance audition.
Auditioners must be age 10 or above and there are two roles available for children under the age of 14; one male and one female.
Performances will be held on Waubonsee’s Sugar Grove Campus on October 5-7 and 12-14.
