Foundation scholarships

Each year, current and prospective Waubonsee Community College students unsure of how to pay for their education can receive help from the Waubonsee Foundation scholarship program. Research has shown this financial support can have a direct impact on student success, as Foundation scholarship recipients are over two and a half times more likely to graduate than non-recipients.

By completing one online application, now open for the 2023-2024 academic year, eligible applicants will be considered for more than 160 scholarships, many with multiple awards ranging from $250-$3,500. During the 2022-2023 academic year, the Waubonsee Foundation awarded scholarships totaling over $343,500 to 311 recipients.

To maximize one’s chance of receiving an award for the 2023-24 academic year, applications and supporting materials should be received by the Feb. 6 priority deadline. The next deadline is May 12. For more information and to apply, visit waubonsee.edu/foundationscholarships.

The mission of the Waubonsee Community College Foundation is to cultivate philanthropic donors, to responsibly steward its assets and to equitably award scholarships to students to help them achieve their educational goals. Questions about the Foundation scholarship program should be directed to the Development Office at foundation@waubonsee.edu or (630) 466-2316.
