The Waubonsee Community College Foundation has awarded 405 scholarships to 346 recipients. The total value of the scholarships this year is more than $378,000. The number of scholarships and the total dollar amount of scholarships increased by 8 percent this year and the number of recipients increased by 18 percent. The scholarships are for the upcoming academic year.
“In a climate of continually rising costs of education, it is a pleasure to be able to offer this support to our students, some of whom could not complete their studies without this assistance. We are very grateful for our donors who make this possible,” said Rob Barto, Chief Advancement Officer.
