Lei Xie, Waubonsee Community College's Director of Financial and Auxiliary Services
The Waubonsee Community College Board of Trustees appointed Lei Xie to the position of Director of Financial and Auxiliary Services. The appointment was made at the board’s regularly scheduled meeting in February. Xie assumed the duties of the position on March 12.
Xie has more than 20 years experience in finance, accounting, operations and management with 11 of those years in higher education. He began his career in higher education as the business manager for Argosy University for six years. He then worked at DeVry University as the Director of Finance and Administration for five years. In those roles, Xie managed financial functions of the institutions in addition to internal audits, facilities, information technology and student financial services.
Xie holds a Master of Business Administration in Finance/Leadership and Change Management from DePaul University and a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
