“Rhythm of Nature,” a colored pencil drawing by Shari Katich-Rogers, of North Aurora, is one of 11 student-created art pieces purchased by Waubonsee Community College for the spring semester. The works are displayed throughout the college’s campuses.
During the spring 2015 semester, Waubonsee Community College purchased 11 pieces of student-created artwork to display around its campuses. Through its Student Art Purchase Program, which started in fall 2006, the college has acquired a total of 206 pieces of original artwork.
This semester’s works came from Daniel Capobianco, of Geneva; Colton Christianson, of Batavia; Matt Diehl and Esther Espino, of Maple Park; Carissa Hartwig, Jasmine Landers, Jeremy Nixon and Lara Popowitch, of Aurora; Shari Katich-Rogers, of North Aurora; and Juan Montano, of Oswego.
