  • A Taste of Travel – Open House; Friday, Feb. 22 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the Sugar Grove Campus in the Academic and Professional Center. This open house will provide information about many travel and tour services and programs. Kate Silver will be available to answer questions about travel programs and opportunities. Silver is an award-winning freelance writer with more than 15 years of journalism experience. She specializes in features, health, food and travel stories.
  • Late Night Student Ceramics and Jazz; Friday March 1 from 6 to 8:30 p.m. on the Aurora Downtown Campus. Enjoy live jazz music and student ceramic projects. This event is part of First Fridays in downtown Aurora.
  • Aurora Downtown Campus Open House; Saturday, March 2 from 1 to 3 p.m. Attend informational presentations, explore programs and services and get free food truck treats while supplies last. Visit www.waubonsee.edu/openhouse for more information.
  • One Earth Film Festival; Monday, March 4 at 7 p.m. on the Aurora Downtown Campus in the Multipurpose Room. This festival showcases thought-provoking films on the environment and interactive discussions focused on solutions. The One Earth Film Festival is presented by Green Community Connections, a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization devoted to fostering a sustainable future in our community and being an environmental leader in the greater Chicago metropolitan area.
  • High School Art Faculty Invitational Artist Reception; Thursday, March 7 from 5 to 8 p.m. on the Sugar Grove Campus in the Arrowhead Room in the Dickson Center. Waubonsee is hosting an art exhibit featuring the work of art faculty members from area high schools. The exhibit runs from Saturday, Feb. 23 through Saturday, March 30 (visit calendar.waubonsee.edu for specific times). The reception on March 7 gives the public the opportunity to meet the artists while viewing their art. Snacks will be available.  
  • Asset Earth; Thursday, March 7 at 7 p.m. on the Sugar Grove Campus in the Auditorium. Joe DalSanto, Assistant Professor of Astronomy at College of DuPage, will present The View from Earth: 400 Years of Astronomical Discovery.
  • Faculty Speaker Series; Tuesday, March 12 at 6 p.m. on the Sugar Grove Campus in the Auditorium. Jason Chatman, Instructor of Sociology, will discuss gender pay equity.
