The Waubonsee Community College Foundation scholarship application for 2022-2023 is now open. This one application allows people to apply for all Foundation scholarships that students may be eligible for. Scholarships awarded will be available for use beginning with the Fall 2022 semester.

Nominations are currently being accepted for Waubonsee Community College’s 2022 Distinguished Contributor and Distinguished Alumnus Awards.

With increasing COVID-19 cases across the district, all Waubonsee Community College classes will be held remotely during the first two weeks of the spring semester (Tuesday, Jan. 18 - Sunday, Jan. 30). The college will continue offering primarily virtual services through Jan. 30, with on-campus appointments available.

The New Year is a wonderful opportunity to reflect on how we can improve our lives and continue to grow by becoming more intentional in whatever season of life we find ourselves. It is also an ideal time to take an inventory of factors that may be holding us back from experiencing something new. Even as the global pandemic lingers and events happen outside of our control, we can all continue to learn and grow by deciding to reset our journey.  

When Waubonsee alum, Colton Karas, graduated from Waubonsee’s Automotive Technology Program, he never imagined that he would eventually get the opportunity to work for one of the “Big Three” American car manufacturers. 

The holidays are here which means the push to shop local and support small businesses is ever strong. What's all the fuss?  Why does it matter if we celebrate and support our small business community?  

Waubonsee Community College recognized the Welding Technology Program at its December board meeting for its success in creating a highly-skilled workforce amid a shortage of skilled workers in Illinois.

Waubonsee Community College student Jeremy Sullivan recently received special recognition from Illinois State Representative Stephanie Kifowit for being selected to participate in the National Hot Rod Association (NHRA) U.S. Nationals internship with the Randy Meyers Racing team. 

Waubonsee Community College recently received a $50,000 donation to support students enrolled in the college’s Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Program.  

Waubonsee Community College has released its Annual Report to the Community for 2021. This year’s report tells the story of the people, programs, and events of the 2020-2021 academic year.
