This exciting new building on Waubonsee's Sugar Grove Campus will be the home of the college's Auto Body, Auto Technology and Welding Technology programs.
My teaching style is more of the 'let's learn something together,' not just me standing up in front of you and telling you what you need to know, but learning about things that interest you and how you can use your specific talents to succeed in this field.
The thing that really does set us apart is we get the students to be hands-on with the vehicles. They get that real-world experience. We bring in staff members' and students' cars, and they get to experience the actual problems that come along in the field on a daily or a weekly basis.
Waubonsee's Automotive Technology Program is nationally certified, fully accredited, and has been recognized nearly 20 times by national, regional and local organizations. Hands-on training is a key element of the curriculum, and you’ll interact with experienced, dedicated faculty in our state-of-the-art, 18,000-square-foot automotive lab. Upon graduation, you’ll have developed high-demand skills, networked with industry partners, and be ready to pursue an additional degree or start on the road to a successful career in automotive technology.
