This course provides an overview of the role of the paralegal in the litigation process. Students will learn to draft correspondence and pleadings for civil ligation cases utilizing both the federal and state rules of civil procedure. Recommended Coreq, PLG100

Sync Online courses are a combination of course instruction and student participation occurring synchronously online through a video conferencing platform (such as Zoom) on the scheduled days and times for the course. This allows students to engage with faculty and peers in real-time. Instruction can also occur Online (asynchronously), through Canvas.

Classes meet on regularly scheduled days and times via Zoom. Required Zoom class meetings are on Wednesdays from 6:30 - 9:15 pm.  Scheduled on ZOOM days: 08/19, 09/02, 09/16, 09/30, 10/14, 10/28, 11/11, 12/02. This course uses Open Educational Resources (OER) instead of traditional textbooks, so there is no cost for course materials. Your instructor will provide direct access to all required materials through the course syllabus or on Canvas.
