A working knowledge of the nature and cause of disease including the etiology, signs, symptoms, diagnostic evaluation, clinical treatment, and pharmacology management of disease processes necessary for a career in the health information profession are presented. Emphasis is on pharmacology for health information professionals covering general principles of drug actions/reactions, major drug classes and specific agents within each class. Prereq, C or better in BIO260
